Taco Chili Recipe

Ever had a moment in the kitchen where you started making a recipe and then discovered you were missing a key ingredient?

That’s where Taco Chili Recipe came from.

Taco Chili Recipe is quick and delicious. Great for the cold days ahead! Click To Tweet

I was in a rush one morning.  I knew crockpot chili was the perfect solution.  I quickly started browning the beef and dumping all the canned goods into the crock pot when it dawned on me- I don’t have my chili seasoning mix prepped!  I usually keep a handy jar of pre-made season mix on hand but I had used it all on the last batch.  I have a huge taco seasoning mix from Costco in my spice cabinet and I thought- hmmm why not?  I put about a half cup of taco seasoning into the crockpot along with green chilies, chili beans (white and kidney), diced tomatoes, jalapeños, onions and ground beef.  Put the lid on, set to low and ran out the door.  When I returned about 5 hours later, the house was filled with such a delicious aroma I couldn’t wait for dinner!   I topped the chili with sour cream, shredded Mexican cheese blend and cilantro. I served this Taco Chili Recipe with a side of tortilla chips.  Mmmmm it was so good and crazy easy!
