Love Table Side Guacamole?
I remember the first time I saw a “Table side Guacamole” presentation at a restaurant I was so impressed. It made me feel good that it wasn’t whipped up in a huge batch in back with a ton of added preservatives to keep it from turning brown.
So, when you make your guacamole at home, you don’t need the giant Mortar and Pestle they use at the restaurant (unless you have one!)
Instead, grab a bowl and a fork. It works just fine.
I like to have a little chunk in my table side guacamole. Onions add a nice crunch and tomatoes are a juicy surprise.
I found that the perfect spice blend is chili powder, garlic powder and cumin. This blend goes so well with the avocados. Gives it just the right amount of kick.
Take however many ripe avocados you want to use and add 1 teaspoon of chili powder, garlic powder and cumin for each avocado.
Mash them together in a bowl.
Add just enough diced tomatoes and red onion to have a piece in each scoop.
Mix well and serve with tortilla chips or as a topping on your favorite Mexican dish.
