Do you get tired of your money going to Play Doh that dries out?

I do!

Do you have young kids that think a taste test is necessary?

 I did!

Peanut Butter Playdough or Peanut Butter Balls might be your answer!

So easy to make and so much fun you have to try these!

I am a “forty-something” and my mom made Peanut Butter Playdough for my sisters and I growing up.  It brings back so many happy memories I had to share!

Now I make Peanut Butter Playdough for my kids and almost always- their play dates.  Surprisingly enough most of my kids friends have never had an opportunity to try Peanut Butter Playdough before they come to our house.  It really is a wow factor for their friends.

You might ask, “Are they healthy?”

Well, there is milk, peanut butter and honey. So to start we have calcium from the milk, protein from the peanut butter and in the honey there are enzymes, minerals, vitamins, and amino acids that have antibacterial, anti-fungal, and antioxidant properties.

So, to answer the question, kind of!  The powdered sugar kind of kills the healthy aspect but think of what Play Doh has to offer.

When I looked up the ingredients of Play Doh it says they are “Mostly” water (ok!) flour (crap-gluten!) and salt ( darn sodium!)

Well, the ingredients in Play Doh are “proprietary” so we may never know all of what some kids are eating.  If your kid doesn’t have a peanut allergy then, Peanut Butter Playdough are hands down the best option for your kids. (In my opinion)

  1. I’ve never heard of peanut butter playdough! Probably becuase my mother hid the peanut butter for herself! 😡 I would have loved letting my kids play with this. They got to play with their own bread dough and made their own little pizzas and loved it so I know they would have loved this too! Very creative!

  2. How creative and fun! I make a similar cookie dough and dip it in melted chocolate at the holidays. My boys’ favorite. Never thought to have them play with it though! There will be grandchildren someday!

  3. Ha! I was thinking my husband would love these and then I see yours couldn’t stop snacking! This will be a great project when we babysit our nieces & nephews….cause I’m always looking for something we can do 😉 Thanks for sharing your take on playdough with us at Funtastic Friday!
