Mexican Table Cream Fruit Dip

Now that the warmer weather is upon us it is time to enjoy all that fresh fruit! Fruit Dip adds another excitement factor to the fruit.

I really enjoy berries and cream.  There is something so delightful about the cool cream over the juicy berries.  It is a dessert, but a dessert you don’t need to be so hard on yourself about eating. 😉

Now, if you remember my post on Jalapeño Avocado Mexican Cream Spread, you will remember my new discovery of Mexican Table Cream.  This table cream is great for so many things but primarily used in Mexican cuisine as a sauce to pour over tacos and burritos or cooked in soups.  It’s consistency is thicker than coffee cream but thinner than a sour cream.  

The brand I used for the Mexican Table Cream fruit dip was Cacique.  You can find it in most grocers dairy section. (Atleast here in Colorado!)

When I was looking over the label I noticed that they also recommended pouring it over fresh strawberries.  

“Ding, Ding, Ding, and we have a winner!” ( that’s what I heard in my head🤓)

I had a lot of the cream leftover from the Jalapeño Avocado Mexican Cream Spread I made. So again, I thought to myself, “I am going to make some fun fruit dips!”

I opened my cupboards and started dreaming.  Then came the creation of 4 Mexican Table Cream Fruit Dips!

Strawberry Banana was the first dip I created solely because I had a ripe banana that needed to be used.  What goes good with bananas?  Strawberries!

Dark Chocolate Cream I knew the second dip had to be chocolate.  Chocolate is always a hit with fruit.  I had a container of dark chocolate cocoa powder in the cupboard so I was set.

Raspberry Almond was the third dip.  I thought about something different than just raspberries.  I wanted a second component.  Ah ha!  Almond extract…perfect!

Pineapple Coconut was the fourth.  I am a sucker for a drink called a Chi Chi.  Never heard of it?  That’s OK most people haven’t.  A chi chi is simply a Vodka Piña Colada.  Yum right?  (I might throw this dip in the blender with ice cubes and vodka 😍 It’s seriously that good!)

For the Mexican Table Cream Fruit Dip you will need:

Mexican Table Cream, mix-ins and a blender.  That’s it!

Mexican Table Cream
Mouth watering dips for fruits

Strawberry Banana
  1. 1/4 cup Mexican Table Cream
  2. 3 Large Strawberries
  3. 1/2 of a large banana
Dark Chocolate Cocoa Cream
  1. 1/2 cup Mexican Table Cream
  2. 1/8 cup dark chocolate cocoa
  3. 2 Tablespoons sugar
Raspberry Almond
  1. 1/2 cup Mexican Table Cream
  2. 1/4 cup raspberries
  3. 1/4 teaspoon Almond extract
Pineapple Coconut
  1. 1/4 cup Mexican Table Cream
  2. 1/2 cup pineapple tidbits
  3. 3 Tablespoons pineapple juice
  4. 1/4 teaspoon coconut extract
Instructions
  1. For each Mexican Table Cream Fruit Dip: blend ingredients in blender until fully mixed.
  2. Serve with your choice of fruits for dipping.
Notes
  1. Mmmmmm. Chi Chi time!
  2. Put the pineapple coconut dip in the blender with 1 cup of ice cubes and 2 oz vodka blend well.
  3. Enjoy!
  4. Serves 1 😋
