The Perfect Topper For All Your Mexican Food…Jalapeño Avocado Mexican Cream Spread!
This spread is so simple yet so flavorful. It is also versatile, try on burritos, tacos, use as a dip or even a stuffing!
My favorite is using it on top of chorizo burgers. Check out the burgers here.
Chorizo Burger with a Bite
It is similar to a guacamole but the Mexican cream really smooths it out making it almost “mousse like”.
I came up with this recipe purely on accident. I walked by a jar of Mexican Table cream at the store and I had to buy it. Why? I really don’t know, I suppose I was curious. When I opened it up I was surprised to see that it was thicker than cream but not as thick as a sour cream.
I decided I should make a sauce out of it. I had some ripe avocados that needed using up and here came the beginning of my Jalapeño avocado Mexican cream spread.
I was really going for a sauce but when my food processor stopped and it looked so delicious I had to try. Yep- I had a spoonful and then another. I was surprised that on my first try I nailed it! I thought it was fabulous! The perfect amount of spice and creaminess. The thickness inspired the spread instead of sauce.
I hope you enjoy as much as I do!
