Asparagus + Bacon = Easy Oven Asparagus
Oh my gosh!
One of my favorite things to eat is Grilled Bacon Wrapped Asparagus.
Sometimes, here in Colorado, the weather doesn’t allow you to bbq.
Sometimes you need quick and easy!
I had a huge hankering for them one day and I created the following recipe.
I also make Bacon Wrapped Asparagus under the broiler and they are fabulous but these are “no fail, easy-peasy, throw in the oven and get on with the main course” deliciousness.
As the heading reads, “Easy Oven Asparagus”. It truly is easy.
Drizzle a little olive oil in the baking dish you prefer and toss the Asparagus.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Slice the garlic, onions and mushrooms.
Chop the bacon.
Add all ingredients to the seasoned asparagus and gently toss.
Place in 400° oven for 15-20 minutes for large asparagus and about 10 minutes for skinny asparagus. I like my asparagus to have a slight crunch. Hint- Be sure to keep an eye on the asparagus, over cooked can get really stringy and hard to chew. A good way to tell the asparagus is about to over cook is that it looks like it is starting to shrivel. Get it out of the oven quick!
Serve with your favorite entree.
I hope you enjoy!
