Chorizo Burger with Jalapeño Avocado Mexican Cream Spread and Feta Cilantro Crumble Topping
Yes, it’s a mouth full. Literally!
There is something to say about a good burger. Big, juicy and flavorful.
Occasionally, I like to mix it up. I like to try different toppings, meats and buns.
For this chorizo burger spice is the flavor I desired.
Chorizo mixed with ground beef……sounds great!
Well, I can’t top it with traditional toppings that’s for sure! I must create something fresh and delightful.
I think back to some of the best burgers I have ever had and the one thing they had in common was, I was full by the end. There are some burgers out there that leave you wanting more. That is such a disappointment. I wanted a burger that had a bite and would leave me satisfied.
This is where I came up with the Burger With A Bite.
I took 1/2 pound Chorizo and 1/2 pound of ground beef.
Mix it up really well. The Chorizo is a bit tricky to mix in so, make sure you break it up before mixing in.
Form into either (2) 1/2 pound patties or (4) 1/4 pound patties.
The burgers are savory and therefore I recommend 1/4 pound patties.
Next, mix up the Jalapeño Avocado Mexican Cream Spread
and the Feta Cilantro Crumble Topping
Throw those burgers on the grill. Once cooked top with some sliced Monterey Jack cheese. When the cheese is melted remove from grill.
I like to toast the buns on the grill while the cheese is melting.
The buns shown here are onion buns. I feel they add a great flavor for the chorizo burger.
Time to assemble! Once you assemble this beauty, step back and take a good look. It really is a good looking beast!
I hope you enjoy my Chorizo Burger With A Bite!
Try to remember to breathe between bites, it’s that good!
