Hi all!  Thanks for stopping by!  Today I bring to you Chex Mix Chocolate Fudge! 😀

Awhile back I did an at home market research for Chex Mix.  They came to my house with a professional video camera and asked me several several questions about Chex mix.  It was super cool!

Part of the research study was for me to demo how I make Chex Mix.  In talking with them I mentioned that I needed to create a recipe that involves using the Chex mix crumbles at the bottom of the bag.  Chex Mix is too delicious to throw out the small leftovers at the bottom, but too salty to try and eat the small crumbled pieces.

I thought about this for awhile.  As I mentioned, Chex Mix is extremely salty.  When you get to the bottom of the bag, a lot of the pretzel salt has fallen off.  The pretzel salt plus the seasonings makes it too salty to use as a crust for any type of protein.

I thought awhile longer and new it had to become a dessert.  I toyed with the idea of making it into a crust but decided, again, too salty.  I knew it needed to be incorporated INTO the dessert.

AH-HA!  Fudge was the answer!

Chex Mix Chocolate Fudge is so easy to make and is melt in your mouth delicious!

You can use any fudge recipe you like.  I chose Dark Chocolate Fudge.  We are huge on dark chocolate at my house.  I remember being a kid and liking milk chocolate better.  The mini special dark chocolates we would get for Halloween would go to the parents.  Now, it’s a fight for them.  My kids will pick it over the milk chocolate every time.  That makes me happy since the dark is a healthier choice.

Start by melting the chocolate of your choice with a can of sweet and condensed milk.

When the chocolate is mostly melted add the vanilla.

When chocolate is completely melted stir in Chex Mix, reserving any full pieces of Chex to top the fudge with.

For this recipe,  I used a small cookie scoop and placed the fudge into mini cupcake holders. (Made 24) You can also line an 8″x 8″ square pan with aluminum foil and cut the fudge into into squares.

Chex Mix Chocolate Fudge turned out delicious!

The perfect amount of sweet to salt and the crunch added the texture I love.

When you hit the bottom of the Chex mix bag……don’t throw it out, Make Chex Mix Chocolate Fudge!
