Oma’s Frozen Raspberry Salad

Oma's frozen Raspberry Salad

My lovely grandmother, Oma, was a German Immigrant from Russia.  She had so many amazing stories to tell.  During The Great Depression she actually lived in a converted chicken coupe!  Crazy huh!  She was a lover of food.  She was always wowing us with delicious recipes.

Enjoy Oma's Frozen Raspberry Salad with your Thanksgiving feast! Packed full of cranberries and… Click To Tweet

My wonderful grandfather, Opa, didn’t like cranberries.  I’m not sure why- he just didn’t.  My grandmother called this salad “Frozen Raspberry Salad” and omitted the fact that there are cranberries hidden inside.

Oma’s Frozen Raspberry Salad

has become a tradition for our families Thanksgiving feast.  We have not missed serving this salad at a Thanksgiving dinner for over 40 years!  Invited to a friends house?  “I’ll bring a salad”!  At home alone for Thanksgiving? It’s frozen so I can enjoy for a month!  There are some traditions that can’t be changed and Thanksgiving just wouldn’t feel like Thanksgiving without Oma’s Frozen Raspberry Salad!

It’s a great addition to the dinner menu because it can be made ahead of time and left in the freezer until turkey day!  One less thing you need to do on the big day!

This salad is really easy to make!
