Hawaiian Jalapeño Poppers
Hawaiian Jalapeño Poppers ~ Aloha!
Today I am going to show you Hawaiian Jalapeño Poppers! I usually make 3 ingredient jalapeño poppers and they are requested more often than not. Super easy super tasty! Jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon! 😀. Who could ask for more? I guess I did!
I was looking through my fridge and saw some pineapple tidbits, leftover Holy Hot Pork, cream cheese and red bell pepper. I pondered on what I could do with all these ingredients. I looked at the jalapeños I bought for an upcoming bbq we would attending. The host of the bbq requested I make “those jalapeño poppers”😀 Sudden inspiration! Hawaiian Jalapeño Poppers!
Start by cutting the top off the jalapeños. Some people leave the top on but I don’t like to have extra trash to deal with when eating finger foods. Plus I use them in my compost. 😉
Now cut lengthwise.
Remove membranes and seeds. If you like your food spicy hot set the membranes and seeds aside, if you like a medium spice discard the membranes and seeds.
Mix the cream cheese, Holy Hot Pork, pineapple and red bell peppers together. (if you like it Spicy Hot dice the membranes and seeds and mix in.)
Now the peppers are ready to stuff.
Give each pepper enough filling so it is rounded. It needs to be rounded because when you wrap with bacon the cream cheese acts as a glue and you won’t need toothpicks.
I use the Hormel pre-cooked bacon. It wraps perfectly. Make sure each end of the bacon is tucked under the jalapeño. Throw these babies into the oven @ 400° For 10-15 minutes until bacon is crispy and the jalapeño is tender.Hawaiian Jalapeño Poppers are perfect for summer! #Friends will love you#bring these to the next BBQ!
